Culture squad chose Hamilton Families for a number of reasons:

1. Hamilton offers a shelter program that accepts entire families: not just moms and kids. They keep families whole, and provide meals, safe housing and social services. 
2. Transitional housing programs that help families at risk for chronic homelessness by providing social services and education
3. Housing services that help families with housing searches, financial assistance, job search assistance and additional support for up to 20 months.
4. Hamilton's team works with landlords to accept applications from families in need, and helps families by acting as a liaison between them and their landlords.
5. Every program is supplemented by children and youth services that help build resilience and strengthen family bonds

They helped 78 families from becoming homeless

They served 90 families in their shelters each night

80% of families served exited into permanent housing - 240 families!
