Give Back to the Future CEO Roundtable Event
Tuesday from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CST
In Person
Drake University College of Business and Public Administration is hosting a CEO Roundtable in conjunction with Pi515. This forum functions as the end of Pi515’s Giving Tuesday campaign with the goal of raising awareness to the existing gaps between graduating students and the workforce. Students and guests are invited to attend the event free of charge. As the proportion of Gen Z within the workforce continues to increase, it is imperative that youth students have the resources, knowledge and skills necessary to integrate into the workforce. Student attendees will have the opportunity to express their curiosity regarding workforce readiness and gain valuable insight from high-performing, successful individuals across multiple industries. We will have at least three executives at this hybrid event that will take place both on Drake’s campus in Parents Hall and through a Microsoft Teams Webinar.
Story
The youth of this community need your help now more than ever! The future is digital, and this new workforce needs graduating digitally literate students. In the Greater Des Moines area, underserved students experience the technology gap most acutely. The lack of access to the internet, laptops, digital equipment, and literacy creates barriers to completing primary education and continuing beyond.
Pi515 empowers youth to overcome systemic obstacles, utilizing creativity and innovation to pursue their dreams. We change lives by exposing students to hands-on learning opportunities, fostering innovation, and encouraging joy and determination to overcome barriers. Pi515 programs expose students to coding, innovation, and critical thinking. Our students are equipped and empowered to develop and pursue a life-long interest in STEM and higher education.
This Giving Tuesday, we ask YOU to join us and give back to the future of our community. As Pi515 continues to broaden our impact, we seek support for our programs, including transportation, equipment, laptops, and a safe space for participants and mentors to meet. With your help, we can continue to empower at-risk youth to realize their potential and visualize their success, ensuring that every student who participates in Pi515 receives the skills and resources they need to achieve personal, professional, and financial success, both now and in the future.
