FIA has been in operation for 10 years and has evolved over that period. Faith in Action started in 2007 with a group of ministers who wanted to assist the homeless in the area. Activities included coat and blanket collections, attempt to provide a cold shelter space, and assistance at the initial opportunity housing site. In 2016, FIA became a non-profit and more community members became involved.

During the COVID pandemic, FIA leadership moved out of state and opened the opportunity for new leadership to bring the organization to a more active level commensurate with Riverside County homeless initiatives. In 2022, a navigation center was established through vaccine equity funds along with other small grants from the county and other non-profit organizations.

Today, FIA serves as a trusted bridge between vulnerable residents and the systems designed to support them. Through programs in housing stability, workforce readiness, food access, and health equity, the organization provides wrap-around services that help individuals regain stability and independence.

FIA remains rooted in community trust and powered by the belief that faith in action can transform lives.
