At Family Shelter of Southern Oklahoma (FSSO), we believe that everyone deserves to live free from violence, fear, and isolation. For decades, we’ve stood beside survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking offering not only shelter, but a path toward safety, stability, and healing.

We provide 24/7 emergency shelter, crisis intervention, trauma-informed advocacy, safety planning, legal and medical accompaniment, housing navigation, and support groups for adults and children. As the only certified domestic violence shelter across five counties, our agency serves as a vital lifeline in rural communities where options are few and barriers to safety are high.

FSSO supports individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and ages, recognizing that every survivor’s journey is unique. Through community partnerships, education, and prevention efforts, we’re also working to build a future where violence is no longer tolerated, and hope is always within reach.
