The Fayard Fentanyl Awareness Foundation was created after one of our family members developed an addiction to Fentanyl at 17 years old.

We were completely uninformed about the pervasiveness of Fentanyl in South Mississippi. When confronted with this crisis, we had no place to turn, no guidance on what to do, or where to seek effective rehabilitation.

When we did get to the stage of finding treatment for our loved one, we were shocked by the out-of-pocket expenses required for treatment. We pooled all of our resources and even did a community-wide raffle to help come up with the needed funds.

Our loved one is still in treatment and will be in recovery, God willing, for the remainder of his life. We would now like to help prevent others from having to go through this and provide assistance to those who do find themselves in the middle of a crisis with nowhere to turn.
