Roles & Permissions

Whether you're a team of 5 or 500+, being able to manage your members' roles & permissions is key to fundraising success. On Givebutter, not only can you add unlimited members, which is extremely useful for team fundraising in particular, but you can define specific permissions for what these members can and can't access.

There are currently three distinct types of roles you can set with different permission levers: Admin, Editor, and Member. You can see a detailed breakdown of permission levels here, but in a nutshell:

  • Admins - Full Access
  • Editors - Full Access to everything except Payouts
  • Members - View Only for everything with no access to payouts

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
