Hey friends!

Many of you already know about my love for Foster Village Charlotte, the amazing families who created it, and the incredible work they do for our city. BUT, if you don't, let me tell you more!

After walking alongside my dear friends, Becky and Tony, in their foster process I saw first hand how challenging and beautiful being a foster family can be. I also saw how much they struggled to find other foster families, to get the support THEY needed to provide a safe and loving home for a child in need. Foster placements can come from many different agencies making it hard for families to connect with others for support or to have a collective voice for advocacy.

From that struggle came Foster Village Charlotte, a dream created by fellow foster families to provide support, resources, and advocacy to all foster families in our city. A centralized resourced that can show up with all the essentials a new foster family needs within days of a placement. A space where foster, kinship, and biological families can come together and work towards reunification. A resource center that provides a safe space for children to process these life changing transitions with professional counseling.

As a monthly donor, I get regular updates on the incredible work they do in our city whether its sending a welcome pack to a new family or advocating to city leadership for additional support for families during the pandemic.  Y'all, they walk alongside families through some of the most challenging times of their lives and bring dignity to the process for all those involved. Foster Village Charlotte ensures every single day that not foster, kinship, or biological family has to do this alone. 

This November, they have asked 100 people to raise $600 and I feel so fortunate to be one of them. Will you help me reach this goal? Will you join me in Fostering the Movement? Everyone can do something, however big or small... They're all our children and every one of us is needed.
