Free System – Sistema Libre (FSSL) is based in Missoula, Montana, on the ancestral homelands of the Salish and Kootenai peoples.
We are a locally and globally connected educational and experiential initiative for collective liberation.

Our mission is to empower ourselves and our communities to transform scarcity, supremacy, and shame into power, connection, and care.
This transformation unfolds through embodiment, creative expression, ancestral remembrance, ethical science and technology, and the co-creation of regenerative systems.

🧬 Who We Are

Heidi J. (she/they/he) is the founder and visionary behind FSSL. They began this work in 2018 and incorporated the organization in July 2022. Heidi lives and works in Missoula as a guest on the homelands of the Salish, Kootenai, Blackfeet, and Ql̓ispé peoples.

Elena Glotova, based in Sydney, Australia (on the lands of the Eora Nation), supports FSSL with administrative guidance and care—offering her time and brilliance until we’re able to fairly compensate her.

Peanut, the dog, is our official mascot and morale booster.

Global and local collaborators & facilitators include Cliff Berrien, Penélope Baquero, Kaila June (Somatic Groundwork), Elena Glotova, and many more.
