Contributions to Doc Wayne on behalf of Rashmi "Anilaben"

Rashmi “Anilaben” Narendra Patel of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away at age 76 on Monday, September 6th, 2021.

Born on March 17th, 1945 in Nairobi, Kenya, she was the wife of the late Narendra Kumar Ambalal Patel and the daughter of the late Ambalal Kuberbhai and Vimlaben Desai.

She is survived by her two sons Dipan and Chetan; two daughters-in-law Bela and Rupal; and four grandchildren Bhavin, Aman, Mansi, and Anish.

The funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 10th, 2021, at 2:00 pm EST at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, GA.

We are deeply moved that the family of Rashmi “Anilaben” Narendra Patel has chosen Doc Wayne as the recipients of memorial contributions. Our condolences are with them, and we express our gratitude for their generosity during this time. 

Doc Wayne uses sport-based therapy to break down the stigmas around mental health. Our direct service programs work with children and teens of all genders who have experienced trauma and, as a result, are managing a mental health need. We currently partner with 23 schools, community centers, and residential treatment centers to deliver Group Therapy, Individual Therapy, and Therapeutic Mentoring to youth. The Champions Network™ launched in July of 2020. We have hosted four types of training, educating 20+ organizations, 25 countries, multiple states, 163 adults, and indirectly reaching over 67,500 youth. Doc Wayne began in Boston, grew nationally, and now impacts youth internationally.
