Heartwood Haven is a nature retreat and empowerment center with a focus on connection. Connection to nature, connection to yourself, and connection to your community. Through a variety of offerings and carefully designed grounds, this will be a haven of growth, joy, and support.

A typical day at Heartwood Haven: Guests may walk the meditative maze or swing on a tree swing before learning about using herbs for wellness. They may join an intuitive dance or expressive art workshop or they may go deeper on their inner journey and participate in a full plant-medicine ceremony. Then they may laugh till they can't breath, in a laughter yoga session or around the family dinner table. Their night may end in a beautiful share circle around the bonfire, in a wood-fired outdoor tub, or rocking in a hammock near their personal A-frame tent. Everyday is different for every visitor. There is no obligation, no pressure, no guilt, and no "doing it right."

At Heartwood Haven, intuition guides. And this is what is taught. Whether it's moving their body, selecting food to eat, working with emotions, and anything else, intuition leads us. We know best what we need to feel good, we just need to listen.

Heartwood Haven isn't your typical retreat. It's not about being silent or finding a zen-like state. It's not obsessed with diet or exercise or telling anyone how to be "healthy". It's not even about simply goofing off on vacation and forgetting life's obligations completely. It's something different. Something special. It's where women can go for a women's-only week to embrace sovereignty, connection to her body, and healing sisterhood. It's where depressed men and women can go for perspective, play, support, and perhaps greater self-compassion. It's where workaholics and perfectionists can simply be. It's where the healers of the world can come to restore themselves and nurture their own light. It's where those who've lost the community of their religion can join with other black sheep for faith deconstruction, self-awareness, and true community. It's where humans can simply gather to remember what it's like to be human.

It's the Neverland we always dreamed of as children, but now desperately need as adults. It's a haven for your inner child. A safe place to feel emotions and experiences, to soften into your body, to simply be. But it's more than simply resting and playing; it can also be a place of empowerment, where sovereignty and self-awareness are boosted with individual sessions, workshops, ceremonies, and other gatherings and activities.
