HMBFC was planted in 2004. We have always been located in the South Side of Pittsburgh. We are connected to both the Presbyterian Church USA and the United Methodist Church.

We believe we are an imperfect people coming together to find ways to reflect God's perfect love to the world around us. We believe we find that perfect love expressed fully in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus' greatest command was to love God and love others. We rely on the Holy Spirit to guide, lead, and encourage us in this work of love.

We are on an intentional journey toward God through Jesus Christ where we shoulder the burdens, share the risks, and celebrate the joys, of participating in the mission of this community.
