Hope’s Animal Kingdom Cat Rescue is a 501C3 nonprofit cat rescue located in Louisburg, NC. We are dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned and homeless cats and kittens in NC.

Hope’s Animal Kingdom Cat Rescue was started in 2021 by Laura Zurawski and her family after the loss of their beloved rescue dog, Hope. Although we help dogs, our main focus is on the overlooked cat population and decreasing the number of homeless cats/kittens in the community. We rescue, spay and neuter, vaccinate, and try to find homes for animals in need. Those that do not find homes will remain here at the rescue. We partner with local shelters to help decrease the time cats and kittens remain in the shelter and help to ultimately end euthanasia due to overcrowding.

Our primary focus today is on rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned kittens that might otherwise face death or euthanasia in conventional shelters. Caring for newborn, sick, or injured kittens demands significant time and resources, as these vulnerable animals require constant care. HAK ensures that these delicate babies receive everything necessary for the best possible outcome. Our top priorities at HAK are orphaned kittens and nursing cats with their litters.
