Hi, my name is Allison. Eight years ago, I suddenly lost my husband Richard to a massive heart attack. I found myself a widow at 48 with 5 kids and so overwhelmed. On a difficult day, when I was attending a grief support group, someone told me about "Camp Widow" and Soaring Spirits. This changed my life! Without the unwavering support of Soaring Spirits and my family, who knows what my life would be like. I can't imagine my life without my Widowed Tribe, they embraced me with open arms. Soaring Spirits welcomes everyone from all walks of life!  

I have been line dancing for 5 years now and this has tremendously helped me with my self care, not only physically, but mentally and socially. The line dancing community is very welcoming and I am proud to call them my friends!

Our team is called Hope Rises on the Dance Floor, which includes Michelle Wright (instructor and choreographer), Bonnie Pierce, Donna Girardi, Amy Valladares, and myself (Allison Fleming). 

We will be dancing different levels and styles of line dancing so you can see what line dancing is all about! (And it's not just country music anymore!)
