Why team Whisper?

Whisper is a 22 year old Morgan horse. I would bet that on a daily basis, he’s the horse we use the most in OT sessions. Yoder definitely gives him a run for that spot, but Yoder is newer to HYH. I joined HYH as a therapy aide in 2016, took a lengthy break to get a degree in occupational therapy, and returned last fall as a staff therapist. Over the years, I learned we could Always count on Whisper, no matter who the client. He’s a big horse, over 14 hands, but we use him with the littles as often as the bigger kids. His gait can be slow or fast if we need (he’s definitely got you beat there Yoder! Nothing but love for you, too, of course), we just ask him and he delivers . Whisper takes his job seriously and you can see he cares about each client. He’s the true therapist, I really still just an assistant to these amazing horses at HYH.
