House of Hope is asking for your help to raise money for women and children in recovery!
According to a recent study, opioid-related deaths are now the leading cause of death for new and expecting mothers in Utah (Smid, 2019). This reality is unacceptable and reaffirms the necessity of the treatment House of Hope offers to Utah mothers. Clients come to us from all over the state; many without insurance and, as such, with limited treatment options. We believe that anyone who wants treatment should have access to it. By supporting our peer-to-peer campaign, you too can show your support for substance use disorder treatment for all.
House of Hope creates a new path to recovery through group and individual therapy, case management, and through teaching self-sufficiency methodologies. Your support of our peer-to-peer campaign will help us continue providing much-needed treatment to some of Utah's most under-served citizens. Together, we can make a difference.
Founded in 1946, House of Hope is the oldest provider of substance use disorder treatment in Utah providing a continuum of residential, day treatment, outpatient, and aftercare services throughout the state. Originally named The Utah Alcoholism Foundation (UAF), House of Hope initially served men with alcohol use disorder. It was in 1953 that UAF opened House of Hope, a residential treatment facility, in Salt Lake City to serve women struggling to overcome substance use disorder. Our mission is treating substance use disorders, rebuilding lives, strengthening families, and empowering women.
