Founded in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood, Hyde Park School of Dance is a nonprofit organization serving more than 700 dancers each year and reaching thousands more through performances and community programs. We are committed to excellence in training, meaningful performance opportunities, and deep community engagement.

HPSD believes dance should be accessible, rigorous, and transformative. Through tuition assistance, inclusive policies, and intentional representation across faculty, leadership, and programming, we work to ensure that dancers from all backgrounds can thrive. Our students gain not only technical skill and artistry, but confidence, discipline, creativity, and a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the studio.
