Who We Are

The Indian Valley Innovation Hub (IVIH) provides practical, hands-on support to small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs in Plumas County, California. Born out of the unprecedented economic devastation of the Dixie Fire and the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe that revitalizing our region means helping locals turn their resources, skills, and ideas into viable, market-ready businesses.

What We Do

In a disaster-impacted community, standard business consulting isn’t enough. We act as a critical bridge to economic rebuilding by helping business owners navigate the complex maze of disaster recovery. We offer real-time problem solving and provide essential services, including:

Navigating Recovery: Connecting entrepreneurs to emergency funding, SBA loans, and grants while they await insurance payouts.
Operational Support: Securing temporary pop-up workspaces, free public WiFi, tech devices, and essential business equipment for displaced businesses.
Business Development: Providing free in-house marketing services (logos, websites, signs), hosting business skills workshops, and offering product-development support for everyone from hobbyists to established startups.

Our Impact

Operating with an incredibly lean model—driven by a dedicated volunteer board and minimal staff—IVIH has successfully helped local entrepreneurs secure over $800,000 in disaster recovery funding and grants. We step in where the lines between “business support” and “life logistics” blur, ensuring that our local economy doesn’t just survive, but thrives.

When you support IVIH, you are directly investing in the resilience, innovation, and livelihood of the Plumas County community.
