About iHBCUx, Inc.

International HBCU xchange (iHBCUx), Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding global opportunities for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through international exchange programs. iHBCUx works to increase awareness, access, and participation in government-funded programs like Fulbright, Gilman, Boren, and Critical Language Scholarships by providing targeted resources, mentorship, and advocacy.

Goals:

🌍 Increase Global Engagement – Connect more HBCU students with international education, research, and study abroad opportunities.
📢 Policy & Advocacy – Work with policymakers, institutions, and organizations to support funding and resources for HBCU participation.
🤝 Partnerships & Training – Collaborate with universities and program administrators to equip students and faculty with the tools to navigate global opportunities.
🎓 Workshops & Mentorship – Guide competitive scholarships, career pathways, and international networking.

Key Initiatives:

HBIx Program – increasing research collaborations and partnerships between HBCUs in the United States and HBUs in South Africa.
iHBCUx Program - Expanding HBCU participation in Fulbright, Gilman, and other global exchange programs.
Workshops & Information Sessions – Equipping students, faculty, and administrators with knowledge about international exchange opportunities.
Research & Policy Engagement – Identifying barriers to international access and advocating for solutions.
