IT TAKES TWO, INC was started 13 years ago by our Founder & CEO, Jaemellah Kemp (now Jaemellah Jackson), after experiencing financial hardship sending her son to kindergarten and buying food for the week.

God assigned her to help other single parents struggling with the same inability to provide the basic necessities for their children. Out of this experience, our Tools for Success Scholarship was birthed. Awarded to students in grades four through college living in single parent homes, we've awarded 36 scholarships to date totaling over $13,000 that have provided school supplies, books, uniforms, academic and sports registration fees, laptops, tutoring, and internet.

We support any child in discovering their life after high school plans through our Positioned for Greatness Youth Program. A nine month co-ed program for 5th-12th graders that focus on anti-bullying (how to be kind), college and career readiness, financial literacy, youth entrepreneurship, community service, and leadership. Students also attend local colleges and universities on our annual College Access Tour, which is finally back in Spring 2023 due to the pandemic!

Any young person in need of school supplies receives them for the entire school year through our Supply Drive 365 program. To date, over 300 students have received the tools they need to be successful in the classroom.
