At Chicago Urban Ignite, we are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing education and job training to underserved communities. One of our most impactful programs is the Commercial Learner’s Permit (CDL) Workshop, which equips individuals with the skills and certifications needed for careers in the high-demand trucking and transportation industry. By offering comprehensive training, practical instruction, and job placement services, we give participants the tools they need for long-term career success. Unfortunately, many individuals in our community face financial barriers that prevent them from accessing these life-changing opportunities. That’s why we’ve launched the Drive Change campaign, with a goal of raising $10,000 to provide scholarships for those who would otherwise be unable to afford the program. Your generous donations will cover the costs of training, testing fees, and support services, helping people obtain their CDL and start a stable, well-paying career. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference. $50 provides study materials, $200 covers exam fees, and $500 sponsors a participant’s full training.  How Your Donation Makes an Impact:

Your donations will directly fund the following:

- $50 provides study materials and CDL preparation resources for one participant.  

- $200 covers the cost of the CDL permit exam and Secretary of State testing fees for one participant.  

- $500 supports the training and materials for one participant to attend the full 5-day CDL preparation course.  

- $1,000 covers the full cost of training, testing fees, and job placement services for two participants.  

- $5,000 will sponsor a cohort of 10 participants, giving them the training, testing, and job placement support they need to launch their careers.
