Today, your donation will support GYF’s soccer program, which provides immigrant and refugee families affordable access to soccer uniforms, warm-ups, shoes, tournament fees and travel. But that is only the beginning!

Many of the children currently enrolled in programming at Genesis, joined because they wanted to play soccer. These children know that in order to continue playing, they must participate in academic enrichment and leadership programming. The special thing about Genesis is that these children willingly choose to come back, year after year. And as they practice soccer, they’re also learning long division, how to sew, new dances and songs, and advancing their academic potential. Soccer opens the door to make all of this possible.

Today, your gift will directly support one of the following soccer programs.

Next Move is a recreational program that exists to introduce soccer to young boys and girls ages 3-11 and teach them a love of the game.
U14 Girls Recreational is for girls ages 10-13. They compete in the Iowa Soccer League.
U14 and U16 Boys Select is the highest-level soccer program for boys and is designed for immigrant and refugee families who are interested in sending their children to college using their soccer talents.

Genesis Youth Foundation is seeking to raise funds for U14 and U16 boys, and U14 girls soccer during the 2020 season. The total soccer programming costs for 20 children is $5,019. Can you help us reach this goal?

Cost per child:

Practice Jerseys for home and away games are $40.00 per child.
Tournament costs are $40.00 per tournament, per child.
A GYF soccer kit is $65.00 for one child.
A home and away soccer kit is $130.00 per child.
A hotel room for away tournaments is $120.00.
Soccer warm-ups are $100.00 per child.
