Child Clothing Project

Since 1978, the Child Clothing Project has been the JLEC’s main focus when it comes to fundraising throughout the year. Every fall, we provide essentials like apparel, footwear, and toiletries to hundreds of children in Okaloosa and Walton counties. Picture a child's joy at receiving a pair of new shoes or their own personal book - it's more than just a donation, it weaves you into the fabric of change. Your generosity holds the power to change lives, providing more than clothes, but hope and a sense of belonging to underprivileged children.

It only costs $100 to clothe one child.

Our signature community project takes place over a two-day period at a field trip style event, and is made possible with the help of the ladies of the JLEC, volunteers from our community, and donors like you!

The children always love going shopping for new clothes, having lunch, and enjoying the activities.

About the Junior League

Founded in 1901 by Mary Harriman, The Junior Leagues are nonprofit organizations of women who make a demonstrable impact on their communities.
