The Celebration of Courage is an annual NAMI Wake fundraising event that brings together community members to honor the courage it takes to live with a mental health condition. One in five people experience a mental illness daily. Despite their diagnosis, barriers to care, and stigma, many thousands have been able to not only survive - but thrive! The pandemic has kept us apart for over two years – but finally this fall we will come together again.

On Saturday, September 10, 2022, you can celebrate with us at the Pickleball courts at Ting Park in Holly Springs for a Pickleball Palooza! There will be family fun activities for all ages with an emphasis around Pickleball, the fastest growing sport in America, food trucks, music, and more. Come out to learn (or improve) your Pickleball game, play outdoor family games, or just socialize!

All ticket purchases, donations, and sponsorships will support NAMI Wake’s work to build a community where mental health is valued.

Our day of events includes: 
11:00 to Noon - Registration and goody bags handed out, Pickleball open play
Noon to 12:30 - Learn about NAMI Wake and our big plans for the coming year
12:30 - Enjoy lunch from onsite food trucks (additional, optional purchase)
Starting at 1:00 – Learn or improve your Pickleball game with instructors!
Starting around 2:15 – View a pro and celebrity Pickleball exhibition match
From 3:00 - Open play, skills demos, and more

And all afternoon – Participate in the onsite raffle to win great prizes, enjoy the onsite music and food trucks, browse the vendor booths, and visit with friends old and new

Tickets are $40. Bring the family. Kids under 15 in attendance with adults are free!
