For nearly 80 years, the W.B. Konkle Memorial Library has been an important part of the Montoursville community, offering a welcoming space for learning, creativity, and connection. Founded on Mrs. Joan Konkle’s vision of inspiring imagination and a love of reading, the library continues to serve people of all ages and reading levels.

The library provides access to books, e-books, audiobooks, DVDs, newspapers, local history resources, computers, internet access, tutoring space, and engaging programs for children and adults alike. It is a place where residents can learn, explore, and grow together.

In addition to its traditional services, the library celebrates creativity and community pride. After a 2023 renovation, it partnered with the Montoursville Area School District to showcase local student artwork. These rotating exhibits highlight student talent, encourage creativity, and connect art with storytelling.

Today, the W.B. Konkle Memorial Library remains a vital community hub—dedicated to education, creativity, and bringing people together through shared experiences.
