In 2013 Mashaba Rashid and Talia Schmitt founded Eco-Schools Leadership Initiative (ESLI) with hopes to advocate for environmental education in their community. ESLI is a student run organization where high school and college students educate elementary school students about various environmental issues through interactive games and activities. The goal of ESLI is to get younger students passionate and excited about the environment.
In 2016-2017 school year ESLI had 7 high school/college chapters, over 60 volunteers and reached out to over 175 elementary school students! We hope that with your help, we can continue making a difference in our community.
