NatureConnect's goal is to strengthen youth and communities through nature.

We believe in the transformative power of nature, and actively champion the right of every child in Central Oregon to access nature.

NatureConnect isn't just an organization - it's a collective effort between local organizations to build a more diverse and inclusive outdoor world for all, and to advocate that time in nature is not just a "nice to have", it's a necessity.

At our core, NatureConnect serves as a resource hub, providing region-wide services to schools, families, and our network of partners. Our main program areas include:

School Services: Funding for field trips, teacher workshops, our NatureHoods program, plus one-stop-shopping for outdoor programs
Family Programs: Free nature-programs offered primarily in rural communities for early childhood
Green Jobs: Paid internships and training for high school students from historically-excluded indentities in the outdoor and environmental sector
Capacity-building for our Network of Partners: Trainings, committees, and opportunities for collaboration that advance our capacity for diversity, equity, and inclusion in outdoor programs
Vámonos Outside: NatureConnect is the proud host for Vámonos Outside, who provides outdoor programs for Latine and BIPOC youth and families
