20 years ago, Leigh-Ann Buchanan met Mr. Larry Jenkins, whose organization helped Black and Indigenous students learn the skills necessary to get into college and win scholarships. She followed his instructions and was offered nine scholarships at the college fair he hosted.

Mr. Jenkins’ techniques, which helped her unlock $700,000+ to fund undergrad, law school and executive programs at Harvard, Columbia and INSEAD, aren’t rocket science. They are simply inaccessible.

In 2014, Leigh-Ann founded Nyah Project to pay it forward.

To date, our students boast a 100% college matriculation rate, 95% scholarship win rate, and over $26 MILLION in scholarships received. Over 96% attribute their success to the programs and opportunities provided by Nyah Project.
