The Opal & Oak Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to nourishing communities and empowering futures through faith, food, and compassion. Founded by chef and entrepreneur Harrison Tille, our mission is to bridge the gap between culinary excellence and humanitarian service—feeding the hungry, uplifting spirits, and building a more sustainable food system for all.

What We Do

Our programs serve individuals, families, and communities across Iowa and beyond through five core initiatives:

Nourish & Care – Providing chef-prepared meals and essential groceries to those experiencing food insecurity.
Future Chefs Initiative – Offering scholarships, training, and mentorship to aspiring young chefs and hospitality workers.
Green Kitchen Initiative – Advancing sustainable food practices, reducing waste, and supporting local farmers.
Hospitality Wellness Program – Promoting mental-health awareness and well-being for hospitality professionals.
Relief Kitchens – Deploying mobile and emergency kitchens to feed communities during crises and natural disasters.
