Operation Student Care Project
Story
Gifting Grace Project welcomes you to participate in their annual Operation Student Care Project which is officially set for April 1st through May 6th, 2023. This project is specifically created to address the ever-present need for personal hygiene products by homeless children and youth within our communities. Our goal is to collect the items and/or raise enough funds to create and distribute at least 500 Student Care Kits before the end of the school year. Every Student Care Kit includes personal hygiene care items, socks, shelf-stable snacks, mental health activities and a free meal voucher to a local accessible restaurant. That's at least a $40 value per kit. Will you help?
Gifting Grace Project started in the fall of 2020 with the mission to empower homeless children by providing them with essential resources, support services and advocacy to break the cycle of homelessness and help them discover their purpose. Since our beginning, we have worked closely with the local public school system's homeless department and reached more than 6000 homeless and impoverished children across 7 parishes. We have worked tirelessly to make a positive impact in our community, but we cannot do it alone. We need the support of our community to continue our mission.
How can you help?
- Donate an Item: Your Organization's flier for Operation Student Care lists out the items we are collecting at your worksite. Please find your nearest GGP Donation Bin and drop it there. (If you'd like to make a monetary donation, please do so at www.GiftingGraceProject.com/DONATE and we will do the shopping for you.)
- Volunteer: Please go to our website at www.GiftingGraceProject.com and register as a Volunteer. When we have an opportunity to serve, you will be the first to know about it!
- Tell Others: Feel free to tell your friends and family how to get involved. Positive change only takes place when we become aware of others needs and do what we can to help. Also, follow us on social media like Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with everything that's going on with this project and the ones to come.
