As health officials are grappling to contain the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases in Nepal, earlier this week the entire Kathmandu Valley was put into strict lockdown and Nepal has appealed for urgent international help.

Our top priority is protecting the Unatti girls, our Unatti staff as well as the the local community we serve. The pandemic may have paused our Girls Health Empowerment Education Program, and returned our girls to online learning, but it has not paused our work supporting local families struggling during this lockdown. A donation today helps us provide emergency support for families in Bhaktapur with medical supplies; masks, sanitizer and soup and be prepared to respond as the situation in Nepal is rapidly changing.

Nepal is struggling to contain an explosion in Covid-19 cases. Fears are growing that the situation in the Nepal may be as bad, if not worse than in neighboring India, with which it shares a long and porous border.

100% of funds raised in this campaign will immediately impact the the people of Bhaktapur, Nepal.
