Polo’s Pantry was born from love, grief, and a belief that food is a human right. Food is land, culture, memory, dignity, and survival. We carry my father Polo’s name as a commitment to the generations before us and to the generations still to come.

Alongside farmworker women, campesino families, small farmers, unhoused neighbors, elders, youth, and community organizers across Southern California, we are building more than food distribution. We are building relationships, strengthening mutual aid, supporting local growers, and cultivating the collective power of our communities.

We believe hunger is not inevitable and neither is a food system built on extraction and dispossession. Our work is rooted in food sovereignty: building the knowledge, relationships, resources, and infrastructure our communities need to feed and sustain themselves.
