Hunger isn’t always visible—but it’s everywhere.
In Allegany County, it’s the child quietly depending on school meals…
The parent skipping dinner so their kids can eat…
The senior stretching a fixed income just to get by.
Across New York State, food insecurity is rising—especially in rural counties like ours.
According to the New York Health Foundation, 1 in 4 low-income New Yorkers struggled to access enough food in 2023—and that number continues to grow.
At ACCORD’s Food Pantry, we’re seeing the impact firsthand:
๐ฆ 1,809 food boxes distributed this past year
๐ 760 households served — a 65% increase since 2021
๐ฝ๏ธ Countless local families relying on us as their primary source of food
These aren’t strangers. They’re our neighbors. Our friends. Our community.
Every $1 = 3 meals.
Together, we can provide 15,000 meals to individuals and families across Allegany County.
Make a secure donation right here through Givebutter.
Whether it’s $5 or $500, every dollar makes a direct impact in our local community.
We gladly accept non-perishable food items and hygiene products.
