CALLEN-LORDE’S 8^TH ANNUAL RAINBOW RUN

Taking place both in-person and virtually, Callen-Lorde’s Rainbow Run is a 5K or 10K fun run/leisure walk promoting health and wellness while supporting the lifesaving work of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center! This year, the Rainbow Run will take place in person on Saturday, May 6 at 10am (gathering at 9am) in Manhattan's Hudson River Park or virtually, wherever you are, anytime between May 6 and May 14.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in participating virtually, we ask that you sign up by 4/26 to allow us time to mail you your bib and other incentives!

HOW IT WORKS
Prior to the run/walk, all registrants will receive a participant package either in person or in the mail, which will include a personal bib number. The in-person event will take place in Manhattan's Hudson River Park on Saturday, May 6 at 10am, gathering at 9am for bib pick-up, snacks, and warm-ups. If you are not in the NYC area or prefer to participate virtually, you can choose any day between May 6 and May 14 to complete your run or walk in the convenience of your own neighborhood. In addition to participating in the Rainbow Run, you can help by:

• Creating a personal fundraising page – Set a fundraising goal and have those in your networks donate to your run and proudly show their support of LGBTQ health and wellness. This year, we will offer exciting individual incentives for fundraising – stay tuned!

• Building and inspiring a team – This race is the perfect opportunity to partner with friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and others to promote wellness! Teams are a great way to inspire healthy competition while supporting a great cause. We encourage teams to be creative in their costumes (safety first!) and team name!

• Considering a sponsorship opportunity – Sponsorships are available starting at $250 and are an excellent way to promote your commitment to LGBTQ health. Sponsors are listed on promotional e-mails, social media, printed materials, and in-clinic event signage. Sponsorships can be made by individuals or organizations, and all funds empower Callen-Lorde to continue to provide lifesaving health services to those who need it most.

HOW TO REGISTER AND SET UP YOUR TEAM 

1. Register by clicking the “Register/fundraise” button, then proceed to the next step.

• If you already have a Givebutter account from previous Rainbow Runs, scroll to the bottom to select “sign in”. (If you are still logged-in, please click continue)
•  If you are new to Givebutter, upload a profile picture and fill out the contact information, then click to sign up.
• Want to sponsor or donate instead? Click the “Sponsor/Donate” at the top of the main page.

2. Create or Join a Team

• If you would like to join an existing team, please chose from the drop down.
• If you would like to create your own team, select that option and type in your team’s name.
• Upload your team logo.

3. Set your goal and personalize your story!

• Set your fundraising goal.
• Personalize your story: You can edit the story template.
• Visit this guide for more information on how to set up your profile – you can add a photo, story, fundraising goal, and more!

  4. Select 5k or 10k registration then click continue. 

• If you are registering using a promo code, click ‘Add promo code’ below Select Tickets and enter your code before selecting your registration type.

   5. Add an additional donation if you would like, then click continue.

   6. Complete payment details, if necessary. 

   7. Share and manage your page!

• After you have completed payment, you will receive a confirmation screen and you can click the “Go to my page” button to view, edit or share your page.
• You can also log into your Givebutter account at any time to make changes.
• Click Share & Manage to share your page to social media, copy your direct link, send direct donation requests, view your supporters, and more!
