At 10 years old I was diagnosed with a severe case of Crohn’s disease, a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Currently, there is no cure for Crohn’s disease and the available treatments and surgeries often do not work for patients like myself. I decided to join Propel a Cure in their first crowdfunding campaign to find a CURE for IBD, because I truly believe in this all volunteer organization. Propel a Cure is run by IBD patients and caregivers that challenge the current status quo in IBD research. They are only focused on funding research that gets us closer to a cure, and are using this campaign to partner with the top IBD physicians and scientists across the world.
