SC DAY OF GIVING 2023

Skutt Catholic's SC Day of Giving 2023 is set for Tuesday, January 31. Held each year during Catholic Schools Week, the SC Day of Giving is a 24-hour fundraising event that brings donors, alumni, volunteers, and the Skutt Catholic community together around a common cause, with proceeds benefiting the SkyHawk Fund.

Skutt Catholic established the SkyHawk Fund to provide support for school enhancements and to assist in meeting operating expenses while keeping tuition costs at a minimum. In addition, the SkyHawk Fund contributes to the school's ability to offer financial assistance to 37% of our families, who would not otherwise be able to choose a Skutt Catholic education for their children.

Last year, $35,874 was raised from 219 supporters, unlocking two matching gifts – for $25,000 and $2,500 – bringing in $63,374!

MATCHING CHALLENGE POWERED BY BURGER DETOUR

If we reach $25,000 in donations on the day, an additional $25,000 will be unlocked due to an amazing challenge match from Burger Detour, coming soon to the Omaha area. All gifts, all sizes, all day – will count!

SKYHAWK LUNCH COOLER

The first 100 donors contributing $100 or more will receive a limited edition SkyHawk Lunch Cooler, created especially for the fourth annual SC Day of Giving.

ALUMNI DECADE CHALLENGE

Last year, our alumni led the charge, making up 139 of the 219 event donors, and inspired their former classmates to join in. Teams are created for each decade of alumni and the graduates from the 2000s came out on top for the second year in a row.

All alumni from the winning decade who give $35 or more will receive a specially designed Skutt Catholic alumni t-shirt to wear with pride! Just remember, EVERYONE WINS when you support Skutt Catholic!

The winning decade will be determined by the percentage of alumni who give in the decade you graduated Skutt Catholic.  The following are examples of this: 

1. 1996-1999
   333 graduates
   ex: 33 donors = 10%
   
2. 2000-2009
   1560 graduates
   ex: 156 donors = 10%
   
3. 2010-2019
   1687 graduates
   ex: 168 donors = 10%
   
4. 2020-2022
   373 graduates
   ex: 37 donors = 10%
