Who We Are

The Sentinel Spartans Booster Club is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the students of Sentinel High School in Missoula, Montana. We are made up of parents, guardians, staff, alumni, and community members who share a common goal: to strengthen and enrich the student experience beyond the classroom.

Guided by our mission, the Booster Club exists to support, promote, and enhance extracurricular and co-curricular programs at Sentinel High School. We believe that participation in athletics, activities, and student organizations plays a vital role in student growth, school pride, and community connection.

Our Mission

The Sentinel Spartans Booster Club exists to support, promote, and enhance extracurricular and co-curricular programs at Sentinel High School by raising funds, organizing volunteers, and building strong community partnerships that benefit all students.

What We Do

1. Financial Support
We raise funds to help provide resources that may not be fully covered by school or district budgets. This includes support for:

Athletic teams
Clubs and student organizations
Co-curricular programs such as arts, music, and academic activities

Our goal is to ensure that all students have access to opportunities that enrich their high school experience.

2. Volunteer Coordination
The Booster Club serves as a hub for parent and community involvement. We:

Organize volunteers for events and activities
Support school-wide initiatives
Help create a positive and engaged school environment

3. Community Partnerships
We actively build relationships with local businesses and community members in Missoula to:

Secure sponsorships and donations
Create mutually beneficial partnerships
Strengthen ties between the school and the broader community

4. School Spirit & Student Experience
We support events and initiatives that promote Spartan pride and celebrate student achievement, helping to create a vibrant and inclusive school culture.

How We Support Coaches & Advisors

The Sentinel Spartans Booster Club is committed to being a reliable partner to all coaches and advisors. We support programs in a variety of ways, including:

Funding Assistance: Financial contributions for equipment, uniforms, travel needs, entry fees, or program enhancements not otherwise covered by school budgets
Fundraising Support: Assistance with planning, promoting, and executing fundraising efforts for individual programs
Volunteer Support: Coordinating parent and community volunteers for events, competitions, and program needs
Event Collaboration: Helping organize and support special events such as senior nights, recognition events, and program showcases
Promotion & Visibility: Highlighting teams and activities through Booster Club communications, social media, and community outreach
Equitable Program Support: Ensuring all extracurricular and co-curricular programs have the opportunity to request and receive support

Our goal is to reduce the burden on coaches and advisors so they can focus on developing and supporting students.

How Coaches & Advisors Can Receive Support

To ensure fairness, transparency, and alignment with our mission, the Booster Club has a consistent process for requesting and receiving support:

1. Submit a Request
Coaches and advisors should submit a funding or support request that includes:

Description of the need or project
Total cost and amount requested
Intended impact on students/program
Timeline for when support is needed

2. Ensure School Approval
All requests must align with school and district policies and may require prior approval from administration.

3. Participate in the Booster Community
Programs requesting support are expected to:

Maintain communication with the Booster Club
Attend meetings when possible or provide updates
Participate in or support Booster Club fundraising efforts when applicable

4. Contribute to Fundraising Efforts
To promote equity across all programs:

Teams/activities may be asked to assist with Booster Club events (e.g., volunteering, providing auction items, or helping promote events)
Collaboration helps ensure all programs benefit from shared fundraising efforts

5. Follow Financial & Reporting Guidelines
If funds are awarded:

Expenditures must align with the approved request
Receipts and/or documentation may be required
A brief follow-up or impact summary may be requested

6. Adhere to Booster Club Policies
All support is contingent upon compliance with Booster Club bylaws, standing rules, and financial procedures.
