Black History Month Stay-at-Home Silent Tea Fundraiser

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!  We hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today with an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by raising funds to support our beloved, historic Strieby Church and Cultural Heritage Site, which has been a part of our family and the Strieby community for over 100 years! Let’s celebrate our Black History - please see our website at Strieby Cultural Heritage Site. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to make much needed repairs, i.e. ADA bathroom upgrades, air conditioning, ceiling repairs, stained glass window repairs, and much more. These repairs are needed to preserve the church, and enhance its use for the future.

Last year, over $5,000 was raised towards septic tank maintenance, grounds maintenance, and other needed repairs.  Because many of our family members live in different areas in North Carolina and other states, it’s been difficult to host a formal fundraiser. The “Stay-at-Home Silent Tea” fundraiser is a great way to raise funds in the comfort of your home.

How It Works

  • Choose a soothing tea flavor of your choice  to enjoy at home.
  •  Relax, sip your tea, and consider donating $25.00 (minimum).
  • Be sure to make your donation by February 29, 2024

Why Silent Tea?

  • It’s easy – no need to dress up or leave your home.
  • No speeches or formalities—just a moment of quiet reflection on how you made a difference.
  • Feel free to share this tea fundraiser with friends and family.
  • What a great way to celebrate Black History Month!
  • Don’t forget to share your selfie or pictures to our Fb page, @striebyheritagesite
