Soup for Hope was founded in memory of Chef Odette Smith, whose passion for food and people left a lasting legacy in Pittsburgh and beyond. As a chef, mentor, and community leader, she believed that a warm meal could do more than nourish the body — it could uplift the spirit and bring people together.

Today, Soup for Hope carries that vision forward. We are a nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity, uplifting women, and strengthening families through nourishment and empowerment. With every bowl of soup served, we honor Chef Odette’s legacy by turning compassion into action.

Through partnerships with donors, local organizations, and volunteers, we provide meals, resources, and support to those who need it most. Our programs not only feed families but also create opportunities for community connection, resilience, and hope.
