Heart of the Valley Chorus formed over 40 years ago in 1983 in Greenfield as the Mount Sugarloaf Chorus. They rehearsed in Greenfield for over 15 years moving briefly to South Deerfield and eventually landing in Northampton at what we can call “the turn of the century” where they changed their name in 2002 to Heart of the Valley Chorus.

Their membership spans the Pioneer Valley and they travel to rehearse each week in Northampton from Springfield, Holyoke, Westhampton, Easthampton, Hadley, South Hadley, Leeds and Florence.

They are a part of Sweet Adelines International and participate in a yearly regional competition in Springfield with other Northeast Sweet Adeline chapters. Their main goal is to have fun and produce high quality harmonies. They love to sing, and laugh and perfect the barbershop sound.
