You may not know how mental health struggles have directly impacted both of our lives. We want to share this with you here…

After her long battle with depression, we lost my beautiful Mother, Bonnie in 2004. She loved my sister and I more fiercely than anything we’ve ever experienced. In some of her darkest times her main concern was her girls, and not herself. Although her happiest times were spent with us, the perfect storm that night in January took her away forever.

In 2015, our family was ultimately rocked when our beloved Andrew (Drew) Randall died by suicide. Drew had battled some depression as a teenager, received treatment, and went on to make many wonderful memories with family and friends who loved him dearly. At 32 years old, however, Drew made the decision to end the overwhelmingly dark feelings he was experiencing that night.

We are forever changed by these tragic events. Our hope is that through education and awareness, those suffering with a mental illness will be prompted to seek help. This year, we will be coming together at Drew Fest to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around mental health.
