For the past two years, The Misfit Mamas, Inc. has been committed to revitalizing the sense of village for families. Through the generous support of volunteers, donors, and collaborative efforts within the community, we have positively impacted over 7,000 families in Connecticut.

Founded in 2022 by Shea Wordell and her son Kalio McLeod-Peters, The Misfit Mamas Inc. embodies inclusivity for individuals who have felt marginalized by societal norms. Drawing from her own unique life experiences, Shea has devoted herself to creating a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where families of all compositions can authentically connect, receive support, and access valuable resources.

Misfit Mamas, Inc is a community-focused 501(c)3 non-profit organization that aims to provide support to families in Connecticut through weekly meet-ups, special events, support groups, and our variety of services.
