– 42.5 million (13% of the population: struggled with disabilities.

– 38 million: suffer from homelessness, hunger and poverty.
– 2 million: New cancer diagnosis.
– 700,000: suffer from strokes.

I have personally dealt with these situations firsthand. I myself deal with paralysis from Spinal Cord Injury from a car accident on a daily basis, and I'm the proud son of a mother who has battled and conquered breast cancer twice. But sadly, I am also the stepson of a stepfather passing away after succumbing to the perils of stroke, the nephew of an aunt who suffered the same thing. The nephew of an uncle passing away after a long battle with cancer, and the grandson of the best grandmother in the world passing away from a massive heart attack. These are just 4 of 10 family members I have lost between the months of January-October 2023 alone.

While there may not have been much I could've done to prevent these losses and tragedies from happening, the one thing that I hold onto the most, and wish I would've had more of its "Family Time". There are millions of families dealing with the same issues in one aspect or another, and the one piece of advice I would give them, it's to enjoy your loved ones and the time you have with them because most valuable things they would leave behind, is the memories you shared together.
