The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a global leader organization in the fight against cancer. LLS was born out of a family’ grief following the death of their teenage son. LLS funds science research to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and Myeloma. LLS has been around since 1949, and the organization has invested 1.3 billion in research.

LLS holds a seven-week campaign, in New York City, to fundraise money for science research. The participants of this campaign are high school students all in the city. The Cure Team is one of the teams for this year’s campaign. The team was founded by 11th graders Bianka Sacks and Julian Baquero. The Cure Team was founded in June of 2020, and the two CEO’s have recruited around 95 students to join their fight against cancer.

The campaign starts on January 19, 2021 and ends on March 5, 2021. During these seven weeks oue goal is to raise $500,000 to help fight cancer.

The 3 Dollar Challenge (3DC) is a grassroots fundraising initiative established by twins Jack and Kate Adler, who are dedicated to leveraging the power of social media to enact change. The 3 Dollar Challenge aims to spread awareness and raise money for important causes through $3 donations to show that a little amount of good from a lot of people makes a huge difference.
