89% of $75,000 goal
In 2012 TRED was organized as Rome and Floyd County’s sole non-profit trail advocacy group realizing that without a champion, the current trail system would not flourish. Since then, and thanks to committed partnerships with Rome City and Floyd County governments, TRED has enhanced the community by focusing on improving and expanding the Heritage Trail Network. TRED is also responsible for the creation of three urban wilderness trail systems, Jackson Hill, Blossom Hill and GE Trails at Garrard Park, thereby giving residents and visitors over 15 miles of shady, woody respite within the city limits. By summer of 2022, the Redmond Trail extension should be completed, thus creating the first continuous loop for trail users to travel from Mt Berry Trail to downtown and beyond.
TRED’s commitment to the expansion, connection, and improvement of the trail system will continue to have a huge positive impact on the quality of life and economic development for Rome and Floyd County and its visitors. Help us add more miles of paved asphalt and dirt, new and improved signage, mile markers, amenities, and on-line mapping by contributing to the 2022 Annual Budget.
If you’re a trail user or maybe you’ve pledged to walk or bike with us soon...You’re invited to join the “I LOVE TRAILS” campaign. Our goal is to raise $75,000 by July 31, 2022. This amount will cover TRED’s strategic projects and operating costs for 2022-2023 as well as fund planning efforts for future trails.
Your $$$ helps to Connect Community.
