TUNES Music Makers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located on Beaver Island, Michigan, dedicated to keeping music alive in our island community. Founded in 2023 by the Palmer family in memory of lifelong island musician Edward Palmer, TUNES provides access to quality music education for people of all ages. We offer private and group lessons in guitar, piano, fiddle, mandolin, ukulele, accordion, voice, and more — both in-person and virtually.

In just two years, over sixty students have taken lessons through TUNES, building confidence, creativity, and connection across generations. Our programs have brought students to the stage for the first time, inspired seniors to learn new instruments, and strengthened the bond between youth and elders through shared music.

Through lessons, workshops, and performances, TUNES Music Makers is helping create harmony in the heart of Beaver Island — preserving its musical heritage while inspiring the next generation to carry the tune forward.
