“If you are feeling breathless ... your breathlessness is a sign of your bravery. It means you're awake to what’s happening right now.” ~Valarie Kaur

PLEASE JOIN ME ONLINE on May 6 with Valarie Kaur, lawyer, civil rights activist, faith leader, founder of The Revolutionary Love Project, and author of See No Stranger, as she shares her message of love, rebirth, rage, and inspiration. Watch her compelling TEDtalk! (

With the rising tide of violent hate crimes, racial violence is at the forefront of our consciousness. Our newsfeeds are full of acts of racial violence and misogyny, of mass murder, and even of the extremist ideology and hate that underwrite new voter suppression laws.
It seems right that we reflect on what love has to do with this. What will it take to heal the violence, the hate, the intolerance? How can love play a part in healing our deep, open wounds?

The executive director for Center for Domestic Peace, will join in conversation with Valarie to dig deeper into her vision of love as a force for social change. We will reflect on this moment, and consider what can be reformed and what can re-imagined through the lens of love. Tickets are $50. Click on the GREEN button, in the upper right, for tickets. You will be sent a link to join.

Center for Domestic Peace mobilizes individuals and communities to transform our world so domestic violence no longer exists, creating greater safety, justice and equality. They provide transformational services and programs that protect and enhance victim safety, and ultimately engage our community in permanent change.

Please join me in supporting Center for Domestic Peace, In Celebration of Mothers! With my love and gratitude, Eve

This pandemic has had a devastating effect on our community, and especially on families and individuals experiencing domestic violence. Over this past year, our bilingual hotline saw unprecedented levels of individuals experiencing hardship, trauma, and isolation, increasing the stress and demands on our staff who are tirelessly working to create new ways to support those in need.

Despite these ongoing challenges, Center for Domestic Peace is stronger than ever, thanks to supporters in our community like you. Our event offers you a special way to connect with our work and make an impact, right here in Marin County. We think our speaker, who uses LOVE as a force for change, is the right message at the right time!

Our featured speaker, VALARIE KAUR, is a seasoned civil rights leader, celebrated prophetic voice “at the forefront of progressive change” (Center for American Progress) and author of See No Stranger: A Memoir & Manifesto of Revolutionary Love

Join us for a virtual fundraiser as Valarie shares her personal journey as a mother and civil rights leader, and why she founded the Revolutionary Love Project. She will also 'sit' with our Executive Director, Donna Garske, for a thought-provoking conversation as part of the program. It will be a night of storytelling, solidarity, and inspiration.

Valarie leads the Revolutionary Love Project to reclaim love as a force for justice in America. With degrees from Stanford University, Harvard Divinity School, and Yale Law School, and as a lawyer, filmmaker, and innovator, she has won policy change on multiple fronts – hate crimes, racial profiling, immigration detention, solitary confinement, Internet freedom, and more.

“We are birthing a future where love is a force for justice.”

Her TED talk, 3 Lessons of Revolutionary Love in a Time of Rage, has been viewed over 3 million times.

Help us move the needle in creating domestic peace by digging deep and giving today. You can be the the change you want to see in the world!
