UNIK FARM was established to address the critical challenges of food insecurity, unemployment, and rural underdevelopment in Haiti. History and Inspiration

The founder, Clarck Jeantinord, brings over 30 years of hands-on farming experience combined with academic qualifications in Technical Management and Project Management. After 21 years in the U.S. and a successful career as a Field Officer in General Operations Management and Development in the U.S. Military, Clarck returned to his hometown, Gonaives, with a vision to revitalize agriculture in Haiti.

His personal experiences as a farmer, coupled with his commitment to community development, inspired the creation of UNIK FARM. The organization was born out of a desire to provide local farmers with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to combat food scarcity, improve livelihoods, and reduce Haiti’s dependency on imported goods.
