Founded in 1967, the National Football League Alumni is the most well-known and well-respected retired player organization. As a non-profit tax exempt 501 c3 organization, the NFL Alumni is comprised mainly of retired National Football League players, coaches, professionals, cheerleaders, spouses, business owners and community residents.

The NFL Alumni has a strong tradition of “Caring for Kids” across the country. Player alumni give back in their local communities by raising funds for youth-related charities through their 40 regional chapters. It is a tradition that has existed for more than 50 years.

In addition, the national office of the NFL Alumni Association serves, assists, and informs players in their post-NFL lives. The NFL Alumni offers a variety of medical, financial, educational, and social programs to keep members and their families lead healthy and productive lives.
