Chris Brown's Story

I've been involved with Growing Veterans since it was just an idea. The amount of growth I have seen in the organization and the individuals who have been apart of it is nothing short of incredible. It has been an honor to watch people grow and thrive even more so than the plants in our organic fields.

COVID-19 could have completely derailed the organization, but they have improvised, adapted, and continue to thrive amidst an otherwise disruptive time in our collective history. They continue to grow healthy food and they were able to move the Peer Support Training online and remain accredited for 20.5 CEUs by the Washington State Mental Health Counselors Association, offering two trainings online since COVID started. I am amazed.

While we cannot host a public fundraiser where people can meet face to face this year, we still have this opportunity to fund-raise for a nonprofit that has touched countless lives and continues to provide people with new skills and insights to be better humans for each other (even as I write this message).

If you haven't been able to attend our annual fundraisers in person, now is your chance to step up online and help Growing Veterans raise enough money to enter into 2021 strong and healthy. Let's do this!

Big thanks to all who answer the call!
