Cedar Rapids Washington Athletic Club (WAC) is a group of dedicated parents and friends of WHS committed to providing a positive experience for student athletes. Please join us in supporting our 22 sports programs here at WHS. We meet monthly and have many volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

We want our student athletes to be active and involved. We believe that with hard-work and opportunities, good things can happen. Our group raises funds to support all 22 sports programs at Washington. Since these funds are used for both short and long term needs for all programs, we have structured our organization so that the majority of the monies raised are contributed to the Washington Athletic Department for allocation (not individual programs). This allows for a more equitable, transparent distribution, and there is continuity in having the Washington Athletic Department oversee the allocation that best serves our purpose.

Great care is taken by the athletic department to fund all programs as equitably as possible, utilizing all revenue streams. District allocations are limited to transportation costs and coaching salaries. Therefore the tremendous costs of supporting all 22 sports programs could not be met without the support of our parents, fans, and sponsors.
